Product Description
Its inspiration comes from a bishop’s head-dress, the “mitre”
MITRA was created in 1941 in response to the wartime shortage of silver. It was the first stainless steel cutlery from Georg Jensen. Designer Gundolph Albertus was trained as a sculptor. His background is visible in the artisanry of the mitre-shaped handles of the pieces.
Albertus’ designs were focused on continuing the tradition of Georg Jensen himself. The background story of the collection reflects Georg Jensen way: designers adapt to the times but the original legacy of craftsmanship and design is always a part of their inspiration.
The set is perfect for regular, daily use.
Set contains six each of the dinner spoon, dinner fork, long grill dinner knife and tea spoon.
